Finding courses
In Moodle courses are organised by categories, so you can create hierarchies of courses. These categories may reflect your organisation structure, for example, faculties, or they could be subject or topic based. For example, this is the course category structure from Mekelle University (
http://www.mu.edu.et/elearning/
):
Moodle offers a lot of flexibility in how the courses and categories may be presented to users, so you may find that the layout and structure of the Moodle you are using differs slightly to the images you see during this course. Here is one way in which the courses may be listed within a category:
Usually the Moodle homepage will show either a list of the categories or a list of the course available. When you find the course you would like to view, you may be based to enrol on the course to be able to access it:
Depending on how the course is set up, you may be able to log in as a guest, which means that you're not enrolled on the course, so can't fully participate in the course activities, but you can view and read all the content.
