Group Inferencing Assignment
Find a person who is at the same point in the class as you are. Do the following steps:
- One of the partners should have the assignment sheet open in the Moodle course. The other should open the following links to the cartoons. Cartoon 1, Cartoon 2, Cartoon 3.
- Understanding humor requires that a person infers information outside of the cartoon.
- If you are a person who does not get jokes, you may be a person who does not make correct inferences.
- Political cartoon require that you connect a current event with the cartoon to understand it and find it funny.
- You may not find political cartoons humorous, but try to discuss the inference.
- List the names of both people on the top of your assignment page.
- If you think the inference thinking graphic organizers are helpful to figuring out this assignment, get a copy of that assignment from your teacher.
