Comparing audio files

Your homework is to compare three different audio stories.

When you have listened to all of them, answer the quesitons below.

1: Alice In Wonderland, read by a computer.

2: Peter Pan, provided by librevox via Project Gutenberg

3: Squonk The Dragon, by Pete Butler via the Escape Pod podcast

NB: This file is quite long - you don't need to listen to it all

Questions:
  1. Which one is the easiest to listen to - and why?
  2. Which one is the most fun to listen to - and why?
  3. Describe two obvious bits of audio editing in Squonk The Dragon.
  4. Say whether you think this file is better because of the extra editing.
  5. How important is the narrator's tone, pitch and accent when listening to a story?
Note: If you want to hear more, you can find lots more audio stories at Project GutenbergEscape Pod and Podcastle.
Some of the stories can have grown-up themes, so exercise good common sense!
