Newspaper Writing Assignment
You are a journalist covering the events of Book I in Dune. Create a newspaper which covers the facts of the events from the story. Keep in mind that you may be creative including details not given in the story, but must stay true to the events as they occurred.
Your newspaper will include a headline story (minimum 250 words), and an additional 5 items (news, advertisement, letter to the editor/opinion page, weather, announcements, obituary, classifieds, etc.).
Write your newspapers in column format.

Your newspaper will be graded on the following criteria:
· Minimum of 6 stories
· Accuracy of facts
· Demonstration of understanding of the Novel
· Understanding of journalistic writing style
· Correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar (Very Important!)
· Creativity: feel free to go beyond a simple Word Document. Consider a blog, webpage, video stories, etc. Make it look like something someone would want to read!
