A brochure combines advertising with information. Brochures serve to highlight an important topic or point of interest. Brochures are persuasive. They are meant to sell and convince, as well as to inform.
There are several techniques that will help you to get the most of a brochure. First, look over the brochure to identify how it is organized and what kind of information it contains. Second, note bold headings and skim highlights. Third, be aware of what the brochure is trying to persuade you to do.
Brochures are a bit like walking into Costco tasting all of the samples. Both the Costco samples and a brochure are to persuade you to do something. The anatomy of a brochure is important and all about advertising! The front page of a brochure is designed to catch your interest. The front of a brochure always has a title for the event or information and contact information (email, dates, addresses, phone numbers, web pages etc.) The inside of brochures differ. Typically, they present the most pertinent information or attractions in concise bits. The wording of this type of informational text is brief, but interesting.
