Forum Posting Instructions
Here are a few things to keep in mind when posting in the discussion forums.
1. Don't use one word answers. If you have an opinion about something, say why you feel that way.
2. Choose interesting subject lines. Make people want to read your post.
3. Check your grammar and spelling. A good browser will help with this. If you are using another program be sure to take advantage of its spell check feature. Also, since this is an English course and the formality of your writing is increased, avoid the use of acronyms and keep smilies to a minimum.
4. Help your readers. If appropriate, quote the portions to which you are responding.
5. Participate! It's going to be a boring class if you don't voice your opinion. People are relying on you to make this class interesting since much of what you see will come from them.
