Goal Planning and Adding your Reflections
As a result of reflection and as part of the reflective process, learners should be able to see gaps in their experiences and achievements and match these with opportunities. They should start to plan and set goals, e.g. planning for assessment, guiding future learning or even career aspirations. Doing this enables the learner to be realistic about their objectives and to plan longer term. The process can develop organizational skills and aid motivation. (JISC 2009)
Task 1
- Create a new page on your Google Sites e-Portfolio called e-Portfolio Goals.
- Create a SMART short-term (1) and SMART long-term goal (1) regarding the development of student e-portfolios in your classrooms and/or schools.
- Reflect on this process as it relates to YOUR students, course, learning objectives. Do you think your students will find value in this process? Why or why not.
In the discussion forum in this module, you created a reflection using the WHAT, SO WHAT, NOW WHAT technique. You need to add it to your e-Portfolio. You can decide if you would like to create a NEW page or add that reflection to the artifact page. Just be sure your artifact is somehow linked to your reflection. It is important that you have reflected on at least 3 of your artifacts before Unit 5. In Unit 5 3 of your reflections from your artifacts will be peer reviewed.
