This unit describes how to solve multi step equations. The unit includes:
  • solving 2 step equations
  • solving equations having like terms and parenthesis (use distributive property)
  • solving equations with variables on both sides

This unit includes vocabulary, flashcards, notes, videos, activities, assignments, and quizzes and a Final Test on how to solve multi step equations. Students should keep a notebook or file online with notes from each section during this unit.

Students: Please go through each lesson. Start at the top and go through the notes, videos, homework, and quizzes. You MUST go through each lesson and take notes. Each lesson has more than one video to watch to assist with any questions, you may not need to watch all the videos in each lesson. You MUST go through each game in each lesson along with completing the homework and quizzes. Take your time through the lessons and enjoy learning!

Prerequisites

Students should have previous experience with adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing positive and negative integers, applying the standard algebraic order of operations, simplifying variable expressions, and solving one-step equations.
