Presentational Tools

Presentations That Stick

We're past the time of PowerPoint being the only way for student to present information. There are many online tools available for students to create rich and engaging content to share what they've learned.

With some of the programs it is possible to view samples and what others have created. Students may be able to build off of what has already been created by taking an existing presentation and adding to it. Since it is not very likely that they will not have access to this kind of material in the future it is important to teach students about copyright and what they can and can't do with online information.

A responsible citizen of the digital world is one who improves upon existing material and makes it available to others. Increasing their audience and making their projects relevant to the real world increases the likelihood of self/peer editing and responsible use of information. Using these tools shows students just how easy it is to accomplish this.
