What Types of Media do You Consume?

- Explore types of mass media.
- Identify the types of media you consume.
- Compare yourself as a media consumer to others in your age group.
- Present your findings via concept map.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Prezi.
Topic 2
Exploring the Domains of Mass Media
Now that you've explored the types of media that you consume and that are typically consumed by members of your generation, it's time to get into the specific topics we're going to cover in our course.
This module will introduce you to our semester-long research and reporting project. At the conclusion, you'll produce your first media project for publication on our class website.

Topic Objectives:
- Conduct research on issues and interests by generating ideas and questions, and by posing problems.
- Gather, evaluate, and synthesize data from a variety of sources.
- Apply digital tools to gather, evaluate and use information.
- Use critical thinking skills to plan and conduct research, manage projects, and make informed decisions using appropriate digital tools and resources.
