Extension Activity:
With their parent's permission, students bring a family photo, or appropriate photo of their choice, for the Family Photo Preservation assignment. Students will use the scanner to scan the image and will use editing software to touch up and preserve the photo. Students should save two copies of the photo. One saved file will be of the original, scanned photo. This is the preservation portion of the assignment. The second saved file will be of the "touched up" edited photo. Both files can be burned onto a CD-ROM for the students to take home. Students are responsible for the caretaking of the original family photo.
