Annotations
Video Annotations is a new way for you to add interactive commentary to your videos! Use it to:
- Add background information about the video
- Create stories with multiple possibilities (viewers click to choose the next scene)
- Link to related YouTube videos, channels, or search results from within a video
Note: annotations do not display on mobile devices
Types of Annotations
From the YouTube help site:
for creating pop-up speech bubbles with text. |

for highlighting areas in a video; when the user moves the mouse over these areas the text you enter will appear. | |
for creating pop-up boxes containing text. | |
for pausing the video for a length of time which you specify. | |
for creating a text overlay to title your video. | |
for creating a label to call out and name a specific part of your video. |
