D1 - Evaluate one software package or technique that is used to create animations
If students choose to evaluate Flash they should give their opinion of each feature and tool and support it with examples, screenshots and quotes properly referenced.
Examples of features include how easy it is to learn how to use, interface layout, system requirements, plug ins, cost, licenses available and many more.
Examples of tools include the timeline, vector drawing tools, undo, the library, action script, and many more.
Students could take each feature of Flash and relate it to something the school could use animations for.
Alternatively they could consider the advanced use of libraries and modules showcased by the animation team behind the animated Doctor Who films. See links on Moodle. See DVD of the Patrick Troughton Cybermen Series.
