This course is the first section of our OpenICDL Module 1 course.
OpenICDL, and the www.openicdl.org website is a project completely funded and developed by HRDNZ (Moodle Partner).
Courses are available on www.openicdl.org for individuals.
In the future Teachers may be able to facilitate separate Groups through these courses.
The courses on www.openicdl.org will all be licensed allowing schools, colleges, private training providers, and commercial organisations and companies to install Backups of these courses onto their own Moodle servers.
Lessons have been created with dependencies - meaning each Lesson must be completed in sequence.
The Lessons are set to check that the previous Lesson has been completed, with a score of 80% or higher, and took more than 1 minute!
All images are taken from Creative Commons work on www.flickr.com.
The images were tagged as being free for commercial use, and adaption.
To give due credit to the original photographers, an 'Images reference' document is included that links to all the images used :-)
Icons (e.g. within Topic headings) have been taken from, or adapted from, the Nuvola icon set, released under GNU LGPL 2.1 license.
The course features five Random (rotating) Glossary Blocks on the right hand side.
Each time the screen is refreshed or returned to new content appears automatically - helping to keep the page appear fresh and interesting.
The Theme has been developed especially for www.openicld.org.
It is based on the Facebooky Theme developed by Jamie Thompson.

IN addition to providing Moodle hosting, training (through MoodleBites), and consultancy, HRDNZ produce courses for many clients world-wide.
We take standard paper-based courses and create professional, attractive, engaging courses that are well organised, and easy to maintain and manage.
