BIENVENIDOS
Welcome to Beginning Spanish I. In this short unit we will learn some of the basics to get you off to a good start for your foreign language learning experience. So get ready to learn, listen, repeat and practice your new skills.
In this unit we will cover the following topics:
- The Alphabet
- Greetings and Introductions
- Saying Goodbye
- Using Nouns
- Self Description
Plan on spending about 10-15 hours to finish these lessons and all of the activities. You can repeat the activities and pronunciation practices as many times as needed until you know the vocabulary well. Just go at your own speed.
Each section has a vocabulary lesson first. Please practice the pronunciation several times before you start the flashcards, games and other activities.
There will an assignments and or a quiz with each topic. After you have completed of all of the activities, there will be a final test via Skype where you will put everything together that you have learned.
Learning a foreign language can be fun and easy. Let's start by watching this funny video of Lucy trying to speak french in Paris. Now you know why it is so important to learn a foreign language.

LESSON ONE: THE ALPHABET
AND PRONUNCIATIONStep1: Remember how fun it was to learn the alphabet when you were in kindergarten and how you sang the

Step 2: Learning the Spanish Alphabet will get you off to a good start with your spelling and pronunciation. Be sure to repeat all of letters a few times. Then click on and repeat all of the words on the page. Remember that being good at pronunciation will help you become a better speller which will help you get a better grade in this course. So click on the alphabet link above and get started!Step 3: Alphabet review. Scroll down to the chalkboard with the alphabet on it. Be sure to click on the chalk to see and hear words as they are being spelled. Watch out this guy is loud! :-D

GREETINGS AND INTRODUCTIONS
Let's start with some basic greetings and then some that are a little little more advanced. After learning these greetings you will be off to a good start at making simple conversation.- Step 1: Hola Be sure to scroll down to view full lesson.
Step 2: flash cards Be sure to do the flashcards many times as these are the words you need to know.
Step 6: Photo quiz. Refer back to the vocabulary list for help with words you don't know yet. Remember that there will be more than 1 correct answer. So click them all! This is just for practice

LESSON THREE: SAYING GOODBYEStep 1: Start by learning the vocabulary list. Be sure to repeat the new words and phrases several times before you start the games and activities.
