Information about your web server account

You have an account set up on a php enabled web server.

Your account name is composed of the first initial of your first name and your last name. All in lowercase letters with no spaces.

For example John Sampson would have the user name of jsampson

Your password is the 7 digit number of your student ID, including any leading zeros.

The base part of the public URL to access webpages on your account is:

http://cbis3.lbcc.edu/jsampson/

where jsampson would be replaced with your user name.

To upload files to your account, you should use a FTP client with the following settings:

Host: cbis3.lbcc.edu
Folder: web
Then supply your user name and password.

If your firewall supports secure ftp, please select that to ensure your information is safe. ( it is also called SFTP or SSH).

All web page assignments pages, css files, and other resources must be uploaded to a topic folder that you create. Name the topic folders:

topic1, topic2, etc.
