In the book, in chapters 19 to 24 you will be given code to each of 6 different applications.
Your final project is to get each of these application working on your area of the CBIS3 server and then add a feature as specified. (The calendar, has no new features)
You should approach each project by first getting the code and Databases working for a application working as is as shown in the book. ( the source code is all on the CD provided with the book)
You should probably do this in a sub directory of Topic6 such as for the mailing list:
a folder named
mailingListOrig
and then work on your version with the new feature in a subfolder named
mailingList
There are 5 applications to work on, you will get about 60% for just getting the book version working. and then for custom application you get up to 40% more.
So on a scale of 0 to 100 the points for the final project look like this:
